The TV Animation: Kuroshitsuji II Black Tabloid (TVアニメーション「黒執事II」 ブラック タブロイド, TV Animation Kuroshitsuji II Black Tabloid) is a supplementary guidebook for the Kuroshitsuji II anime focusing on the members of the Trancy household and daily life prior to the anime's start. With pages designed to resemble a newspaper, each section of the book has an attention-grabbing headline, columns of information, and even advertisements. The book is divided into six "clues" (chapters) and contains character designs, messages from the voice actors and animation studio artists, a two-page foldout illustration, and an original short story titled "Hakoniwa Tonchinkan -a strange doll house-" (「箱庭トンチンカン -a strange doll house-」), written by Takeshi Kuma and illustrated by Yana Toboso.

The First Clue: Changeling Myth Existed! Alois was a Stolen Child[]

The first section of the book contains information on the Trancy household and its members, followed by the one-page original story "Hakoniwa Tonchinkan -a strange doll house-." "Tonchinkan" refers to the trio of Thompson, Timber, and Canterbury.[1]

The Second Clue[]

Servant Knows His Master's Darkness[]

The second part of the book presents design sheets and information on several important characters, beginning with Claude Faustus. Character sketches were drawn by animator Minako Shiba.

A Child Lost in the Dark[]

The next pages contain character sheets and information for Alois Trancy by Minako Shiba.

The Kinsman Respects Spiders[]

The next pages feature character sheets for Hannah Annafellows, Luka Macken, the triplets, Arnold Trancy, and the Former Head Trancy.

The Third Clue: Messages from Actors and Artists[]

The third part of the book contains a brief Q&A with the voice actors of the main characters, featuring Takahiro Sakurai as Claude and Nana Mizuki as Alois, as well as comments by the musical artists of the TV opening and ending themes.

The Fourth Clue: How to Become an Aristocrat ~ The Road to High Society[]

The fourth section of the book shows real objects and locations from Victorian England that were used as models for animation, including a manor resembling the Trancy estate and photographs of the seasonal activities of the elite, activities such as boating in the summer that characters in the TV series also partook in. This is followed by a page of tabloid-esque advertising for illustrative works, novels, and DVDs out at the time, including Sherlock Holmes on Blu-Ray.

The Fifth Clue: Notices from Staff Members[]

The fifth section of the book contains short profiles Q&As with six of the series' animators: Hirofumi Ogura, Mari Okada, Minako Shiba, Manabu Otsuduki, Kazushige Kanehira, and Haruo Miyagawa.

The Sixth Clue: Special Message from Yana Toboso[]

The sixth and final part of the book contains Yana Toboso's own character design sketches of Claude, Alois, Hannah, and the triplets and a two-page drawing and message from the artist.
