Intro
I think I speak on behalf of all of us when I say holy shit. Who the hell thought of the Twin-Ciel/2CT Theory first? Because you are amazing and you need to seriously consider solving mysteries for a living.
Chapter 129: Then what's your real name, Ciel? :(
This heart-stopping, jaw-dropping, chills-inducing chapter starts off.....rather meh. We have Sie-chan complaining about the rain and Wolfy being one-dimensional as a character as per usual ಥ_ಥ (jfcwhatsthepointofkeepingwolfyaliveandkillingagnihuh). Then Ciel and Sebastian come with an injured Soma, who they leave in Sie-chan's care. Ciel tells her to not open doors for anyone in the future, even if it's him. After that, he and Sebastian head for the Phantomhive manor because there's something Ciel wants to check on.
Surprisingly, Eddie shows up in the chapter next. And he meets...Freddie. (Eddie and Freddie :D) Apparently, the police has Paula detained, and turns out that Sphere Music Hall has been forcing many women to work there including Paula, which would explain her disappearance. And you would think that you can squeeze out some useful information from Paula...
But nooooo. Instead, she bursts into tears and only speaks cryptically, saying that Lizzie has gone to where she belongs. Eddie has no choice but to wait till she calms down, which means we'll have to wait till next month or so for a decent answer. Goddammit. Btw, I wonder how old Paula is.
Meanwhile, Violet wakes up in a random hospital in Bath. If I had to wake up to that creepy-looking doc, I'd probably scream and fall back asleep, but Violet regains his senses and just when he's about to disclose who the damn Blue Star is, his scene is over.
Then at the Phantomhive Manor, the servants rush over to greet Ciel. The only one who has a bad feeling about him is Finnian.
And then we have Soma waking up and weeping about Agni's death, which is so sad. But then his expression changes from sorrow to anger, and he swears to make Agni's killer pay, saying that he knows who that person is.
We're back at the Phantomhive Manor again. When Ciel and Sebastian enter the place, the servants go to talk to him. I noticed it when Baldie asked Ciel he's out "again in this downpour," and I knew that in the next scene Ciel was going to catch on to that "again" and be all shaken.
WHAT I DID NOT EXPECT WAS HIS APPEARANCE SO SOON.
real!Ciel goes down the stairs, and he's all CASUAL about it too, and is like "you'll start coughing again if you're out in the cold" to our!Ciel. Poor our!Ciel (and everyone else) is soooo bewildered and I am too. real!Ciel promises to never leave him again and that he's home.
Of course, at this point, real!Ciel is the only one yapping because everyone else is too shocked to speak. Well, except Finny boy who calls him an impostor. (Also, Tanaka aka the one who 100% knows about the twin thing is noticeably absent, hmmm...)
real!Ciel is perfectly chill with the accusation though, saying that he's as real as can be and that the head of the Phantomhive house is actually himself, and in essence exposing our!Ciel as a fake.
On a side note, can I just say how terrible I feel for our!Ciel? He's so horrified that he's legit trembling. I take back all the bad things I said about him. I just pity him now. Can Sebastian help him pls instead of just standing there.
Wrap-up
Dude, real!Ciel creeps me out. He's so damn chill and nonchalant about everything (which makes him sort of similar to Vincent) but the fact that we don't know jack shit about him is what making him so freaky. And I feel like he's out to hurt our!Ciel and yet he's still acting brotherly which is borderline psychopathic.
Let's see what we know and don't know about real!Ciel so far. He's most likely the Blue Star/Lord Sirius. He's what Blavat and his crew have been trying to revive. Is Undertaker involved? How is real!Ciel's body intact from the fire at the cult? Is he a Bizarre Doll? How's he even functioning - did Undertaker find a way to collect his soul somehow? There's even a theory circulating that the soul in real!Ciel's body right now might be Vincent's or even Cloudia's but I'll hold off judgment on that for now.
Also he was most likely the guy who held Soma at gunpoint last time. (Who was the knife guy next to him? Did he accompany him to the manor?) He knows that our!Ciel basically stole his birthright and the Phantomhive ring from him so we'll have to see what he plans to do - it's obvious he'll retaliate in some way (technically he already did by killing Agni) but I don't know what else he's going to do.
But, goddamn, that Twin-Ciel/2CT Theory has been around for years. That person who managed to put together all the clues is a genius, no kidding. I only started looking into this theory a couple of years back, and I was all for it because it was that convincing, but even so, I'm still shocked that it has been confirmed. It always seemed a little distant, but now the twin is right in front of us.
How will our!Ciel and Sebastian react to this??? And more importantly what in blazes is our!Ciel's real name????? plsdontbealamenameplsdontbealamename I dunno, our!Ciel has always been Ciel to us readers, so I don't know how I'll cope with using an entirely different name for him. Doesn't seem right.
Oh, and I almost forgot - Lizzie. She probably knows about real!Ciel's existence and that's why she's so conflicted. But then where is she if real!Ciel is here??? And where's Blavat???
Dammit, we have to wait another month for answers. :(
